Aviary Construction – Feeding Stations

Unlike many other keepers I feed all my birds with individual seed bins. Why? Good question. Mainly because I have found over the years birds if kept in un crowded, planted and spacious accommodation they don't become over weight. Now with that said all seeds are kept in a strict ratio to ensure that a particular seed doesn't get exploited. I use nut and bolt bins found at most hardware stores or even some cheap shops usually in packs of 6 or more. A simple rack for them to sit on and your ready to feed your birds can't get much easier than that. The images below will show how simple my system is in relation to the identification of seed needs, cleaning and ease of maintenance.
